Contrave is an FDA approved daily oral medication to assist with weight loss.
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are in a medication class called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists. These medications plays a role in your appetite and digestion by slowing down how quickly food leaves your stomach. The effects of the medication causes you to feel full, lowering your appetite and results in weight loss. In order to qualify for this medication you must have a BMI of 27 with other pre-existing medical conditions such as high cholesterol or high blood pressure or a BMI of 30 or greater.
Oral medication also available if not interested in injections or if desiring to transition off of injectables.
